The TESSERA project successfully concluded its 4th Consortium Meeting on July 1-2, 2025, in Alicante, Spain, at the facilities of Universidad Miguel Hernández de Elche.
The two-day meeting provided an opportunity for partners to review the project’s progress, discuss key results, address strategic challenges, align efforts, and plan next steps towards supporting the creation of datasets for the European Security Data Space for Innovation (EU SDSI).
Key Highlights:
The meeting kicked off with a warm welcome and a comprehensive project overview from the project’s coordinator, CERTH, followed by status updates from the work package leaders. The first day was marked by insightful discussions on TESSERA’s use cases, data quality assessment frameworks, EU SDSI national components’ architecture, and ongoing dissemination efforts. The consortium also reviewed the outcomes of the first TESSERA workshop, paying particular attention to the structured feedback provided by law enforcement experts and security practitioners through a post-event questionnaire. Their input has been considered highly valuable and will play a key role in shaping the project’s ongoing development.
The second day focused on in-depth discussions regarding the progress made within the key work packages of the project, an overview of the corresponding KPIs, and forward-looking planning activities. A joint discussion explored interdependencies among work packages, paving the path for alignment across teams to ensure that upcoming milestones are met efficiently and cohesively. The session concluded with a look ahead at sustainability and policy monitoring, closing with action points and next steps.
As TESSERA moves forward, the consortium continues its commitment to strengthening data security, aligning with European regulatory standards, and actively involving stakeholders to amplify the project’s impact. More information on upcoming activities, including future TESSERA workshops, will be shared in the following months.
